      DIRECT SPEECH: These are the original words of the speaker which is placed in quotation marks. Some time it is called quoted speech. There is no change in it and it is word to word same what is spoken by the original speaker.

      INDIRECT SPEECH: These are not the original words of the speaker. These are the words stated by someone other to explain the thought of the original speaker.
      so the correct answer is
      1. (b) She exclaimed with joy that it was a very wonderful story.
      2. (a) He asked me if I had seen his pen.
      3. (d) Ravi asked Om what the problem was.
      4. (b) Raju said that he had finished his lunch.
